My 01 Ram Off Road had brake issues within the first few months after I drove it off the dealers lot and it was brand spankin new. Their fix was to turn the rotors and install new pads. Much to my dismay and argument for new rotors under the warrantee And a replacement tank of gas for what they used during the road test. Morons!

@ 20k miles I had the pads replaced and rotors had to be turned again. Today @40k miles I felt the beginning of a slight pulsating during braking. Yep, Pads need replacing and rotors are warping.

I wanted something better than the stock units from autozone. The local brake shop gave me a quote of $175 per rotor, which is $350 to swap rotors and install new pads. I just laughed. YGTBSM!

I ordered an after market set of drilled and slotted rotors and some HP pads. One thing about being an old gearhead, I can do the simple stuff myself. :rck: ..................170bcuda

Good choice on the drilled and slotted rotors and pads. You'll enjoy 'em.
