I received my Dynojet Wideband Commander yesterday and since I’m on vacation I started to install it almost right away. I had a little interruption when I had to go out and get an in-line fuse holder and came home with a new tv but today I got back on track and I finished most of the install. I have the rpm pickup tapped in and working. I have a lighted start/stop recording switch wired in. I’d still like to hook up to the throttle position sensor and be able to log that (not sure how to do that). I got an old laptop out and fired up the software. I ordered a new battery for the laptop since the thing has a new purpose in life now. The data logging is working and I was even able to export the files. I’ll try and attach a sample of one of my runs in another post.
I have nothing but good things to say about this thing so far. I (along with most everyone else) am really hoping that Diablo or SCT get there custom tuners up and running so I can start really diving into the engine with some heads and cam. With this thing I should be one step closer to those custom tunes.
What else would be helpful to log? I have another channel or two that can capture 0-5v.

This is one of three runs I went out and did to test the recording feature (this one being the longest). Numbers are kind of scary depending on what you’re looking at. First gear AFR is 14.7 until 4500 rpm and then 13.0 through the gears. Shift points are not what I expected to see.

FYI - MRK sells guage bezel covers that fit most guages. So you could just buy a silver one if you wanted. :tup:

I was just looking at the RPM's vs. Time. Look how long it takes to complete the 1-2 shift.

What is a good price for something like that, and where would I get it?

I did three more runs this evening and I don't like the shifts on those either. I'm running the transgo without the resistor right now. After looking at this data logs I think I'm going to go ahead and install the resistor now.

Where did you Guys hook up the rpm signal? I assume based on the manual you only have to connect the "orange" wire does the orange-white stay unconnected? Went to the "ground wire" on a coil. I do not get a rpm reading.

Om mine yellow/re connects to brown/white. Orange connects to blue. I used the coil on drivers side closest to radiator.

Not yet. I keep my laptop with me when I am doing any kind of tuning, so I have not had a need for the switch yet. I am going to swap some gauges around soon, so I planned to add the switch when I do that.

360Plus told me how to run the switch and even if you have a laptop in the truck...running the switch is so much better (user friendly). You don't have to worry about messing with the laptop when you doing data logging runs and it so much easier! I less thing to mess with when you haulin azz!

And more importantly it takes more data points. The speed of the data logging is limited more when hooked up to the computer. The internal memory can log the data faster. There's the word Matt was looking for. It's "faster" Matt. 10-1 says Matt hooks up the switch now.
