For those that put on Ported TBs, was there an increase in RPMs at idle?

I have a custom ported 68mm, and it idles way high. Just to be sure, I even used my IAC and TPS from my stock TB and it's still high.

According to my PCMSCAN, stock it idles at about 700 RPMs in neutral, but with the ported TB it idles at 1140 RPMs. I cleared the ECM (disconnected battery) and drove it around for 30 minutes to let it learn the new TB, but it isn't doing any good.

It seems driveable, and isn't throwing any codes, but I don't know if it's a great idea to drive this way, as it might be hard on the torque converter. The 2-1 downshift while stopping seems more pronounced now.
