Ive been running my Bully Dog for about 10k or so with no issues whatsoever (knock on wood). I love it.
bullydog on tow will not get your engine too hot. With it on performance, it will take a nice amount of weight on a hard pull to get it very hot. I ran the bullydog for many miles without gauges and had no problems. after adding gauges i found that it is a very safe box.
The Edge guys will say use Edge. The Bully Dog guys will say Bully Dog. Just remember, the auto's won't hold much more than about 75HP and the 6 gears won't hold much more than about 100 HP before you will need major upgrades. Don't let anybody tell you any different.

so what will these programmers put out ( and mine is staandard trans)
Depends on the programmer. Each one is different with different numbers. With the 6 gear I am sure you could probably run the Edge Juice/Attitude and be fairly safe.

what do you think about super chips

and any idea what the difference is between 3805 and 3815
all my friends are running bullydog, and they all like it, bully dog with crazy larry will take out of lot people and it will also take out your tranny, but bully dog is a good one, but i hear edge gives your a little better mileage but im not sure
i hear edge with defuel when it senses temps are getting too hott or the tranny is slipping. if thats the case. thats what im going with.
bully dog edge and banks all have those saftey features with gauges

Well, yes, but it sucks. if you are wanting speed the juice sucks. My juice also will defuel at 1400 degrees but i have yet to hit it on the attitude monitor. my attitude reads 1300-1350 when my autometer is pegging 1600 degrees. i trust the autometer. it has been accurate with other boxes from other accounts, so i trust it. Also, defueling for the tranny just plain sucks. takes precious tenths off the quarter. i hate it.
no one is racing a 6 speed, hahah

As an Edge owner, of course I'll say Edge. I prefer the defueling features, keeps me thinking I'm not going to hurt anything by stomping on the skinney pedal. I haven't really had issues with high EGTs, but I have gotten the boost psi up there. Just one thing, you can adjust the max'es before it defuels. ie, Edge sets the max boost at 36psi, but you wanna push your luck, you can push a few buttons to make it higher or lower. Same goes for max EGTs, clutch slip and other crap. Its also nice to be able to see 4 diffrent guages at a time on 1 monitor, I'm not sure what BD has.

I've never tried Bully Dog, but from what everyone else says, it does seem like a good box.
im gonna get an edge. that way i can make sure im getting defueled when its sensing slip or too high of temps. again..it will be a 6 speed and im not drag racing.

My trusty NV5600 is currently holding 124+ rwhp over stock quite well. The G56 w/DMF may be a totally different story nowadays.

Greg
I'd want that in writing at least.

Yes, the NV5600 will but he is running a new truck with the G56 and it will NOT take the power.
ive been reading on DTR that the G56's are actually pretty damn good at handliing lots of power. dont know for sure, but ive been reading. Im not really into six speeds and dont know anything about them
The tranny is, the clutch, pressure plate and flywheel aren't

so then a new clutch/pressure plate and flywheel it is then

really if you dont drive it super hard would it really matter i would just like it for a little extra umph while towing and maybe a bit better fuel mileage

ram3500dually dont you have a edge with a auto trans do you have it souped up or what is the story in your situation
As I stated above, with the auto you can safely add 75 HP and the EZ is only 65 HP and I may have got another 10 HP out of exhaust and CAI.
If you don't use level 5 with the Juice you should be fine with your 6 Gear. If you beat it all the time on level 5 you will find your clutch/fly will fail eventually
