well it seems like there is a good deal on super chips right now


i was not going to put anything like this on my truck until the warranty was up as not to have any issues with the dealer


i could care less about power i have plenty s it is but extra would be fine does it really give u better mileage

with 23 thousand miles on my truck right now i could have bought one with the fuel savings

any thoughts, ideas or recommendations

maybe this should be in performance but it is about my diesel truck so mods move away if needed

First of all, as far as I'm concerned this thread belongs right where it is. I don't even look in the performance section, because it is all about the gassers.

I don't know about fuel savings from the Superchips, but most of these electronics end up increasing fuel economy if you can keep your foot out of it (which I have a hard time doing).

I know what you are saying about not needing more power, but just wait until you add a box or programmer. You'll wonder how lived with such a pig before. It's amazing how slow these trucks feel stock once you're used to the extra HP.

mine is a stick also so it is no speed demon by any means


i called a few local shops for shits and giggles and the yall wanted 450.00 or more for the super chips so the deal here seems like a great one

Talk to Art at Henson Motors in Madisonville..Last week he came down for a Houston meet and had some awesome prices on Superchips for gas truck...The best thing is if he has what you want and you talk to him by 3 pm since your in Texas you will have it the next day...

I haven't looked much at what Superchips will do for the CTD. But unless it has similar options such as the gassers (improved shifting, read DTCs, etc) I'd recommend the Edge EZ. It's a small box compared to others... but is a great gain and improvement over stock.

ya when he sent me the link for the hemi i reminded him i had a ctd amnd he said it was same price

Good... and if it does do all that extra stuff, then that's a pretty good deal for it. i think the EZ is only a few bucks more... but the only thing it really has over the superchips is the in-cab adjustability.

I run the superchips, i love it. i drive around on step one (tow mode) and i got an increase in mileage. i am getting about 18.5-19 with the mods listed below. pretty good for a truck with 6inch lift and 37's. this is hand calculated with a corrected speedometer. i was getting aprox 16.5 before the superchips. i say aprox because i used the superchips to correct my mileage. i have 5000 miles on the truck.
