My sister has a 2004 dodge stratus and when she starts it, it will idle normaly then it will jump upto 4000RPM'S and sit there. It has a 2.4L.

it should be under warrente still. take it to the dealer and see what they say

took it to the dealer and found out it was a broken senor in the air box. nice fix at $220 with no warranty.

oh, did it have too many miles? voided warrentee

3yr warranty ended this july.

Strange how all of the problems seem to occur after the warranty has expired
