Anyone know what the cc is for stock 5.2L cylinder heads? Has anyone shaved them to .030 or more. I'm looking to shave them .028 which will bump up the compression from 9.1:1 to 9.57:1 Is anyone running 9.5:1 to
10.1:1 with out any problems? To go with this set up is a cam, minor head work, headers, exhaust, freshen up the bottom end,sct tuner, torque converter
to match.

If their stock heads don't put a dime in them. Buy a set from ebay less than 600 shipped to your door. The stock heads ALWAYS crack with high mileage. Stock cc on my heads(cracked) was 62cc. My Edelbrocks were 60cc even though their advertized at 58cc. I have 9.5 to 1 no problems, but I have aluminum heads. You mill the heads you have to shim the rockers, not a big deal 30 bucks for the crane kit. I would just buy a junk 360 short block and put the ebay heads on it with a cam and a SCT for a budget build, forget the 318.
