On my 93 5.2 V8 dak the steering gear is very loose and the two welded nuts on the inside of frame have broken loose:rolleyes: is there another fix besides having to get it welded

This is crazy but I just replaced these bushings on my Shelby Dakota and here is how they did it. took a 1/2 in thick piece of metal about 2 in long 1 inch wide and drill and tap a whole in the middle the size of your bolt. Stick it up in the whole in the crossmember and start the bolt. It wont turn and you can take it back off. thats how they did mine. Or i guess just weld some tabs on the side of your nut or a nut so it wont turn.

It may be possible to fabricate a bracket instead of having it welded, but with the time it would take to fab up a bracket, you'd be better off getting it welded and done right.
