What is the difference between a Stainless Steel and Aluminized Steel muffler? I was looking at MagnaFlow universal mufflers and see they offer two types. The only difference I read or could see was in price.

This one has been discussed in length and so sum some things up...

Stainless costs more
Stainless has a lifetime wrranty against rusting

So, if you have money and are keeping the truck for 7-10 years, get stainless. Also, if you live in conditions where you would drive over roads covered in salt rock during the winters, get stainless.

kewl, I think I'll go stainless. They salt the roads like mad in the wintertime here.

Though stainless steal will last longer the aluminized steal mufflers last a very long time. Aluminized will last for at least 5 years.
