I am looking at the edelbrock mild steel ceramics $359 vs the gibson $417 or jba $403 stainless non coated headers. obviously I'm looking to get an inexpensive but good product. I am willing to spend the extra for the stainless gibsons or jba's if they are a superior product.

I read that the edelbrocks use lead gaskets at the collectors to the y-pipes they me not be that reliable.

Any opinions?

is their seriously a diffrence between the type of material and brand ? I thought the point of headers was the space IN-BETWEEN the material.. You know what i mean?(air-flow)

I think that the ceramics coat is better that the stainless steel.Last a bit longer and hold the heat better.

the scavening on log manifolds sucks, but with some paience and a good carbide bit and some a afternoon, you can make them flow fairly well, but it also weakens an already prone to cracking part.

I want 2 'log' manifolds. Each withe a nice T40 flange. Yay!

But that won't be ANYTIME soon Hahaha
