It's also possible that this is just a rumor. With that little info I bet someone put it there bsaed on just the information presented. Someone told somebody somewhere about a 2007 SRT-8 truck.

They are coming out with that 6.1 L HEMI that they are planning on putting in the Magnum and calling it the SRT-8
I have not heard about them having an SRT-8 pickup
but that 6.1L HEMI is rumored to put 400hp to the WHEELS!!! At that point I would consider a Magnum. But the base price will be well above 40grand.

The 6.1 will not be making an appearance in the 1500 Rams. It *may* be an option as soon as next year in the 2500 and 3500's. That is still unconfirmed but very likely.

There will be no SRT-8 Ram.

The new 6.1L is rated at 425 hp if i'm correct. Maaan, that's alot of engine.

I'm not so sure a person like myself could afford the gas to keep it running in a big truck like that. It would be a blast to drive though!
