I have a question, my friend has a 88 F-150 with a 5.0l and I kick his tail in a race ...he gets me by like 3 truck lengths from the start..but I blow past him after a few seconds.... My truck is EXTREMELY slow from the start...I have never squalled tires (it wont) and it will not power brake...but his truck will light the tires up when he powerbrakes or takes off fast. Any ideas as to why this is?? or is everyones truck like this? my trucks a 1999 5.2

it's all about traction, whos tires are wider? My bros ram is 265 and mine are 245. He has 3.92 and I have 3.55. He can break his loose in his 01 5.2 but not like I can in my 96 5.2. Traction and gears is whats got you from not doing it
