Hello,
I recently bought a 99 dodge grand caravan.
I have been fixing the issues with the van. I have gotten to the speedometer issue.
It does nothing until I hit 30 mph. It then moves, but stays around 30 mph off. If I'm going 75, it reads 45.
I did the gague sweep and the speedometer failed to fully activate.
I have chased the problem to the PCB of the gague cluster. It looks like someone has been here before.
I see nothing out of the ordinary except this glob of solder.
Is this glob of solder the likely cause of this?
