I'm looking to ditch the IFS front end and put in a coil sprung solid axle. I know it has been done, but I need some details.

Before people start flaming you I suggest using the search button. This topic has been coverd 100's of times.

Here is just a few quick pointers though.

Most common front axle used is a 1977-1979 ford dana 44hp.(Ford because drivers side drop)

Most common rear axles are Ford dana 60 and Ford 9" depending of course horsepower and personal opinion. Changing the rear axle out will mean adding a new sensor to the pumpkin for speedo calibration.

U could use a hole front suspension system out of a full size Bronco incorperating the axle, radius arms etc.

There is a ton of info out there but if you have another Q then ask and I'll see if I can help.

not as many sas daks here, but a couple Durangos have been well documented. Do a search for

SAS Weby

and

SAS Jester

That will give you plenty of info on putting the SAS on the front since the Dak and Durango have the same front suspension.
