I have a 2004.5 HO Cummins that idles rough and blows white/light blue smoke during startup. The truck has done this since new in cold weather startups but the recent problem is during typical central Texas climate.........startups in 70-80 degree mornings.

Any ideas?

Thanks in advance.

Have you changed your fuel filter, or drained the fuel/water seperator? Also, sometimes if you get a bad batch of diesel it can idle rough like that. Try going to another fueling station for a few fuel ups and see if that rough idle persists...

My truck started doing the same thing while I was using PSD/MMO mixed as a fuel additive. I changed to Lucas and it cleared up on the second tank of fuel. I also drove it hard while using the Lucas. Give it a try.
