They're twin tube shocks and they are cellular charged. This is kind of the "mid grade" of twin tubes between shocks that aren't charged at all and nitrogen charged shocks. Most people prefer either adjustable twin tubes (Rancho 9000) or monotubes (blistein, ect.), but they cost a lot more.
No personal experience, but I've heard they are valved pretty stiff, so they probably wouldn't be good either. The edelbrocks would probably be good for a smooth ride with their "inertia valve" deal, but again I don't have any personal experience with them.
