I just dropped my 04 Quad with a Hotchkis Coils/Leafs (2 in Front / 4 in Rear). One of the 1st mods I did when I bought the Truck was to upgrade the shocks to Gabriel MaxControl Shock absorbers all the way around. I know the ride as far as comfort will not be same after lowering but would there be any difference if I swapped out the Gabriels for Belltech Nitros or Bilsteins

any shock will be better than the factory ones.......if yours arent bottoming out and have plenty of travel and your satisified....I would say leave well enough alone......the BellTechs are shorter for more travel on front and rear but front ones will usually be fine with a 2" drop......even if yours are bottoming in the rear you can still add shock extensions and retain the shocks you purchased and get the life out of them you can without having to upgrade at this time!!!
