The TF OD JR shift kit pretty well does all the important stuff you need (hydraulic changes) the "reprogramming kits" give you firmer shifts and more manual control and a little more holding pressure. All I use is the JR kits because I know what to do extra to them to get what I want.

Check here for good prices.

All mods are done to the VB in that kit.

Hey transactman, have you had a chance to check out the "Updated" TFOD-HD2 kit?
I just got one and was wondering what the difference was between it and the older kit.

I know they eliminated grinding the TV valve and don't really give you any spring options now. They also added their "Cherry bomb" to replace the TV check ball. As well as added a couple of transfer plates and include the separator plate now to.

Yes,I don't see much difference in the performance though.
