Has any one had a shift kit put in a 3ed Gen truck? I have 32,000 on my 04 truck and wanted a firmer shift. I have had shift kits before in cars, but never in a 4X4. Just wondering how they hold up, or does it shorten the life of the tranny. Any feed back would be great..... :help:

I would suggest a search for Transgo Shift Kit. This topic has talked about a lot. I have the Transgo kit and it IMO just ok.

Harder firmer 1-2 shift. Not really noticeable otherwise. For the $60 some odd dollars I paid it was worth it. Plus I was doing a fluid/filter swap at the same time, so why the hell not?

ya worth the 60 bucks for the kit. i really wanted the accumulator plate changed as those break under stock pressure. shifts happpen a lot faster now.
