Took my 02 dak to the dealer 8 months ago to fix the ABS.
It activates itself WAY to easily, any slight tiny crack in the road, and I hit the brakes, and the ABS kicks in.
As anyone knows, when ABS is on, you do NOT brake at all. It does its little thing, and your stopping distance increases dramatically.

Dodge said "nothing wrong. ABS works"

On the highway the other day, car slammed on his brakes ahead of me due to a previous accident in a blind spot on the road. I did the same. My ABS kicked in, and I smoked the guy hard in the rear end.

Had the ABS been working properly, I would have stopped in plenty of time NOT to smoke the guy.

Anyone else had any issues with ABS doing something like this, being way to sensative, and kicking in when it shouldn't?

A more general question, is it possible to DISABLE ABS? I've driven vehicles with no ABS, and feel much safer without it.
If I ever buy a new vehicle, and ABS is an option, I will refuse it.
