Hi. new here.
I am replacing the front seats in my 2005 GC SXT. I am hoping to eliminate the pre-tensioner cylinders on the inner seatbelt buckles.

Did the earlier vans (or some other vehicle, perhaps) have non-explosive seatbelt buckles that would properly accept and engage the male end attached to the belt? Looking for something simpler or not as bulky where it bolts to the seat.

...putting in seats from a Mitsu 3000 gt, if anyone's interested.

Thanks.

Back from the dead, LOL.

I ended up getting two bases from an earlier (1992?) caravan. They bolted straight up to my '06 GC and with a little modification, the 3000GT seats were fitted to the bases. My '06 seat belts plug right into the simple latches which are attached to the early van bases.

much more supportive backs, reasonable lateral support, and a fairly close match to the fabric on the rest of the seats.
