I picked this up (http://www.scangauge.com/) and installed it today on my 4.7L dakota.... I am still messing around with it but so far it seems pretty cool. I was planning on using it to see if the engine was retarding or advancing my timing -- but I don't know what the normal #'s should be. Does anyone know what normal ignition numbers would be? Just in a few minutes of driving mine bounced around from 10 to 30... but I have no idea what that actually means :).

I've got one of the older ones but I like it!
It is showing you how much ignition advance in degrees you have at different rpms/speed and 10 to 30 is about right. I have the Superchips performance program installed on mine and my ignition advance does the same thing only it goes up to 41 degrees.

Later...
