Where is a good place to run a couple of 18 gauge wires up to the battery in a 2000 regular cab. i have tried thru all of the grommeted holes I have found and haven't been able to push them thru.

i ussually take a pick and poke a hole in the existing grommets............ussually works that way...........other wise find a safe place to drill, both inside and out........and run your wire............i ussually run some hose around the wire where it passes through the hole to protect from shorts and seal the air out.

I just ran a 8 gauge wire today. The grommet on the driver side on the lower part of the fire wall worked perfect. I just poked a hole with a Phillips head and went to town.

spit on it... everything will eventually fit with a little spit.

Needless to say I ran the wires a long time ago. Thanks for the reply though.
