I recently purchased a used 2005 Dodge Magnum. Dealer did not provide the RKE fob, just the valet key. At startup I get "RKE Battery Low" message which changes to "RKE Battery" after startup. Does this mean the key is lost somewhere inside the car or is the system just attempting to communicate with the missing fob?

RKE = Remote Keyless Entry

Some keys have been having problems with the solder on the battery holder. It could be that as well. Be careful when you take it apart to replace the battery.

I have a 2005 Magnum, where I had only 1 RKE and a valet key. I was able to find a locksmith to remove the 4 existing keys in memory and re-add existing key and valet, I'm getting the same message, assume it's related to the valet key, as I do not get message from regular FOB
