Sorry for the double post, i wasn't getting any looks on the other thread. Anyway...when i was waxing my truck i got a little wax on my line-x...what should i use to remove the annoying white marks off of the liner? Ive used back in black on plastics but i dont think it will work on the line-x and i dont want it to run down all on my paint.


Anyone have an idea?

3M wax and adhesive remover on a rag.

I use brake cleaner on a ton of stuff. I always say it'll take off anything.

Try some on a rag or folded paper towel and rub. Be carful. Don't get it on the paint and test it first on the liner in a place that is hard to see.

Or try Mother's back to black and scrub it in.

Don't just pour either one on the liner, put it on the rag/sponge/paper towel then apply it to just the liner.

go with the 3m adhesive remover. I use it to remove surfboard wax and crud on surf board repairs and boats. that stuff takes off everything but the paint. its great!

MOst auot pats stores have a wax and grease remover type product, its all basically the same, its a low stength laquer thinner, and it works awsomely!

And instead of using regular wax, try Turtle Wax ICE. It wont turn the black plastic white, instead it makes it look like new. So I'm guessing it screw up your Line-X either.
