I would like to get my windows working right. I can roll them up and down but they come off track easy. the strips in the tracks are beaten or gone. What is the best course of action for rebuilding the roll ups?

Yes, they are pricey, but they fix the problem.

One suggestion....if you can feed the new channel into place without removing the glass, you will save yourself a lot of grief. It's a big pain re-installing the window if you disconnect the mechanism from the door. I still have scars on my arms from the several times I've done it.

Also, there are different style wipers (cat whiskers) for the inside and outside of the door. If you're not hung up on originality, the later style can be used on earlier trucks, and they are far superior to the old style.
