I have a pinion bearing that is going (gone) bad in my rearend. When I let off the gas it sound's like a brake shoe scrubbing. (Not pressing on the brake's.)
My question is. it look's like according to everthing that I have read I have to take the rearend apart to get to the pinion bearing. My truck is 1996 Dodge ram 1500 5.9.
I have a couple junk truck's down in the wood's behind the house.
(1) 1994 Ford F-150
(2) 1985 Dodge Ram 100
I am looking to change the whole Rearend axel housing and all I do not want to get into the internal part of the rearend, cause I know nothing about the gear's and all.
Is there any other Rear's that will bolt up to my Truck?
Thank's for reading
