Well in my 02 it takes a while especially when it take about 5 to 10 to warm the engine I do have a 4.7 though. There is a pump that pumps antifreeze to the back you could see if it is going out it is located near the right passenger fenderwell.

it does'nt take very long for the hoses in the back to get hot, but it takes a little while for the heat to come out!

After warming up the engine, my rear blows hot the same time as the front.

in my D it takes about 20 min to blow warm air (not as warm as the front). could the door be stuck, or not opening or closing all the way??

rear heat pump

First, my apologies to dustinb for highjacking this thread.

Tosterho,
I believe the pump is gone on my D. I can't seem to find a replacement part at any of the usual parts places. Is this a dealer only item? Anyone have a part number or reference for this thing?
Thanks

Yeah it's a dealer item only you might be able to find one at a junkyard though!
