Hi everyone! I have not been on here in a while. I have a 2004 2500 4wd HEMI Ram, and I'm going to change rear diff fluid to Amsoil Severe gear 75w 90 my question is do I need to add the limited slip additive? How do I find out if I have a limited slip rear diff? Thanks

You should be able to call the stealer and give them your vin to find out.

Sticker on the glove box door. If it's gone, put one rear wheel on a slippery surface (wet grass, sand, gravel, etc.) and goose it. If it moves, it's LSD. If it spins that wheel, it's a peg-leg.

The dealer may want to know how to spell VIN.

The 2500 and 3500 dont need the additive. We also get a reusable o-ring gasket instead of having to use RTV.
