I have a 93 d150, currently putting up for winter. Over all plan with the truck is to get about 400 hp and have some fun with it. The current rear end is a 9.25. It's no good. Looking to swap rear ends. Just wondering what would be a good swap. From what I read a 8.75 is a good rear end. Just seeing if anyone else has done anything similar

What's wrong with the rear you have? I would stick with the 9.25, nothing wrong with them. It's about the strongest rear next to the dana 60.

As stated, nothing wrong with the 9 1/4. I've put much more HP than you're talking about to them in my off-road trucks without any issue.
