My question is i just changed the rear axle fluid and drove it around the block as I went to check the fluid level, the fluid began to ooze out ,did i fill it up to much or do I have to let it set awhile to check?
The level on my 2003 is suppose to be like 1/2 to 5/8 of on inch under the fill opening. I used 2 quarts plus 2 oz in mine. (9,1/4 rear end) That got me about 3/8 to 1/2 inch under. I would let it sit and check it again. If you overfill it they say the oil will aireate (air bubbles in oil) and maybe cause problems down the road.

get a turkey baster and suck some out if your over filled. ive never really been on the dot accurate with it either. just always topped it off best of luck!
