Some of you have seen this......my old CAI setup:

It was aluminum and it seemed to retain heat, plus the filter was not near the cold air area! So, I did this today.....

I replaced the tubing with PVC and painted with a high heat black. This also places the filter right behind the Jet Stream scoop....so we should be in business. :rck:

The PVC versus the aluminum gives it a little more mellow tone as well. I like it better because before it was a little raspy....

The PVC - 3" from The Home Depot....

One 90 degree bend which I cut at an angle off of the throttle body, and a 2' piece that I cut to fit. The bend going down with the filter on it is one of the original aluminum pieces that I had. Where it sits, there is not much heat.

I put the IAT in the 90 degree bend piece by the TB. Bought a grommet and stuck it right in there. I like the sound better - more mellow.
