Yea they are noisey. They are old tech pushrod motors and 8.3 liters to boot!

They are pretty loud at idle. Tap Tap Tap. it is not because it is a pushrod motor but rather something else such as design flaw or hopefully it is actually engineered into the engine. Loose valve train tolerances at idle are a way of life with high performance engines. You do not need a tight valve train at 700 RPMs.
