The 2019 Ram 3500's are still not in dealer stock here in NJ. Mine tells me I can order one, but delivery will take between 8 to 12 months (my 2006 Ram Dually Diesel order took 15 months). So, I would be lucky to get the new truck by late July / early August!

Q1: Does anyone know when Ram / Dodge will stop taking 2019 and start taking 2020 orders?
Q2: Would I be smarter to wait and order a 2020 truck?
Q3: Is there a problem with the 2019 3500 production line?

Thanks.

if you can wait, I'd wait. it's always easier to get a better deal with on-lot trucks vs. ordering. And being a "first year" production for 2019, waiting a year or so may not be such a bad idea. sure 2019 is mostly a major refresh of the 2018 but there's still a lot of changes with the new 2019 so let the potential bugs work their way out of the first production run.

not sure if there's a problem with the 3500 production line. although, I'm not sure if that was the series that was moved or planned to move from mexico to Michigan.

I would wait. Keep an eye on the prices dealers will ask through different sites like cargurus, autotrader, and autolist. Patience with the next model will be your best bet, most of the bugs that plagued the 19 models will be worked out in the next year resulting in a better truck.
