Ive had my liscense for 3 weeks and i already got a speeding ticket so i was going to see about radar detectors because i cant get another ticket for 3 months or i get my liscense taken away. I probably wont be able to get anything that expensive probably around 100-150 or something like that but I was just wondering what you guys would recommend in or around that price range that will help keep me from getting anymore tickets. A detector won't keep you from geting tickets, only help. I run one in both rigs all the time. I was saved by mine just today. Anything is much better than nothing. I would recomend a name brand one in your price range. I run jammers that cost me around $250 each. Good luck.

Save up some money and get a BEL or Escort. The Escort Passport 8500 X50 is awesome!!!

thats probably going to be out of my price range. Im 16 and i live in a little town with no jobs so my only income is my parents change that i keep lol so if i got one i would probably have to keep it under $150.

so would i actually be able to find me a radar detector that would work pretty good for me. I just drive on the highway for about 3 miles into town and then just around town. I just need something that will tell me if there is a cop ahead or anything.

You can find a Cobra that will do K, Ka, X, and laser. That should work perfect for your needs. It will false ALOT, but in a small city - you should just fine.

Mine directs me to Walgreens. Navigation...HA! I got X band.
