Providing this is not somthing that will require a trip to the dealer, I will be buying a 95' Ram 2500 12v tomorrow.

When you start it cold, you wait for the light to go out, turn key to start, once it fires you let off the start position and it will imediatly die as if someone shut the key off. The only way to get it to fire and stay running is to hold the key for like 10 seconds in the start position once the engine starts. This cannot be safe for the starter. It only does this when it is cold, oncfe the engine is 100% warmed up, it will always start fine.

This appears to be an electrical problem not related to the ignition switch. But more a heat or fuel solenoid issue.

Any idea's, I would hate to get stuck with a major problem.

Anybody at all? I will be picking up this truck at 4:00pm. It would be nice to know if this is a major or minor problem.

Sorry, I'm not familiar with that problem.
