i have a cheap sealed box. but i heard that ported boxes arent as crisp sounding, but they give more of a bassy feel.i was wondering if i could drill a hole in my box to port it, and have it sound good? and if so, how big of a hole should i drill? i am getting a super bass box at christmas, so it doesnt really mater if i kinda mess it up.

NO. You'll be wasting your time drilling the hole, finding out is sounds like hell and then filling the hole back up.
porting a box is an exact science, and a port is not only a hole, it also has a length dimension to it. Do not just drill a hole, you will destroy your box and it will sound worse than garbage.
The same speakers may not work in both types of boxes. It depends on their Thiele-Small parameters.

Also, ported boxes are almost always larger than their equivalent sealed box.
