Has anyone thought of or came out with a hinge for the 98-01 quad doors to open all the way flat against the truck bed? I mean like (sorry for this) the new chevy's. They open up all the way against the bed. It would be real nice if those doors opened up even a little more than they do now.

I think of it every time I try to get a large tool, case of paint, etc. into it, lol. If you notice there are little "cutouts" in the hinges that are knocked up or down. If you cut these off or leveled them with a hammer, you'd probably buy about 10 more degrees of opening (might crease the door if ur not careful tho'.) Outside that, IMHO, too much fabrication and $$$ better spent elsewhere. Cool and original thinking tho'.
