Can anyone tell me, cause I haven't recieved the operator manel for my 94 Ram yet, and I'm not use what is the proper method to engage, and disengage the high & low side 4 wheel drive. I have the 5.2 with an automatic, and I dont like that grinding sound....if you know what I mean :rck:

4HI- Any speed under 45 lift foot off the gas pedal then push it into 4HI

Thanks,

Would you then need/should be rolling to remove it from 4 low, to 4 high or 2 hi?

You don't have to be rolling to put it in or out of 4LO as long as your trans is in N. But the problem with not moving is when you put the truck back into Drive it will slam into gear/4WD (at least on mine).
Yes it is best to be rolling to take it back out of 4LO.
