I'm the one that posted earlier about my 99 having no get up and go. I've decided to go with a powertrax no slip and 4.10 gears. I've been quoted $1200 for parts and labor. Does this seem reasonable? I've tried to find out what gears I have now by looking at the tag under the hood but its unreadable and there are no markings around the differential. The diff cover is octagonal shaped with 12 bolts. Assuming this is a Chrysler 9.25" with 3.55 gears. Is that what came with a 99 Ram 1500 SLT 5.2L? Also is it critical that I specify the manufacturer on the 4.10 gears or just allow the shop to install what they think is best? Appreciate it and I'll report on the powertrax after the install. Thanks.
