I did a mod to my chime so I can turn it off or on with a toggle switch. I just hate those chimes dings. I took picture as I was doing it but after reading the page on how to post a How To, it said it should be that a average person can do it. The problem is that it requires a better than average ability in soldering since you have to unsolder the chime from the dash cluster circuit board. You would also would need a desoldering setup to do it properly which the average person wouldn't have. I could be done without it but the chances off damaging the board increase.

Should I post it or not?

If you have the knowledge, share it. Its up to the other people to decide if they have the skills to continue through with it.

Its no different than a cam install, some people can do it, some cant. But having the information there if you want to is nice.
