My son has a 2001 Dodge Ram 1500 sport 4x4 318ci.
he does not seem to get stuck as much as his friend with a 91 Z71 chevy 4x4 with similar tires. I am hoping the 2001 stock trans is the positraction, where you have more than just 1 wheel in front & one in rear turning.
what kind of transmission do you guys recon he has??

The transmission dosen't have anything to do with posi. It's in the differentials. Wouldn't surprise me if he has a pos in the rear, that's fairly common.

What he said. Dodge named it antispin diff, but their are other names out there.
