I am going to replace my pinion bearing in the rear because there is a good amount of friction on it when turning it without the carrier in place. It may also be what is causing the noise I am getting from my rear end.
My question is since I am going to use the same ring and pinion do I have the reset/verify the pinion depth and shim accordingly or can I just replace the bearing?
