I bought a Transgo shift kit, a PML deep pan, and a 2600 stall Edge torque converter (oh yeah, and fluid and filters). Then I drove a couple hours to my parents house. My Father has a lift in his garage and since I didn't get a chance to use it when I grew up there (he didn't have it back then), I though now would be the perfect time for me to try it out.
The truck barely fit on the lift but all went as planned.
I have put about 200 miles on the truck since this weekend and I got the transmission fluid back to where it is suppose to be. I've been driving real easy and haven't really gotten on the gas too much yet. Initial thoughts are I'm going to like this. Just with easy driving the truck moves a little more effortlessly, if that makes any sinse.

thats cool. looks like you had fun. you dad needs to increase the hight in his gradge about 5-6 ft so that you cantake the lift all theway up though. but other than that looks cool. i want one im jelous. i want a drive on and a frame lift

The truck could have went up higher but then I would have had to stand up to do the work... I didn't want to do that. The truck can not go all the way to the top but all the cars can. The roof and ceiling were redone above the lift to allow for that.
He bought the lift 12 or 13 years ago right when I left for the Navy and at the time I think he paid between 2 and 3 grand for the thing. It's the best tool he ever bought.
Best two options are the transmission jack and the rolling chairs.
