PCM is bad in our 2001 Durango R/T. Dealership says on b/o with no release date. Does anyone know where to get one?? Can't be w/out vehicle indefinitely. Thanks

Don't know if it's stock or performance. How would we know? We bought used, & this is still under the emissions warranty. So what do we do? We can't get a rental under the warranty & can't afford one. Dealership has another vehicle with a different problem that he's been waiting on his part since Sept. 19th. We can't wait that long.

If you're waiting for the warrentee replacement, you're screwed & at their mercy. If you want fast (delivery and performance), get yourself a Mopar PCM overnighted, or try Paul's suggestions above...

There is no Mopar PCM for model years beyond 00.

If you do indeed need a new PCM:

Junk Yard or e-bay are probably the cheapest bets. The PCMs are year, engine and drivetrain (4x4, 4x2) specific. You need a 01, 5.9, 4x4 PCM. Note I assume you have the factory alarm, then there is no problem. If you do not have the alarm, the vehicle the PCM comes from CANNOT BE FACTORY ALARM EQUIPPED.

There are places that sell refurbished PCMs search http://www.durangoclub.com/forum/ There was a guy that had PCM issues and go a used one from some company. Check Advance Auto's site. I believe I saw that they sell them.

If you must by new get it from http://www.dodgepartspro.com/ or https://www.dodgeparts.com/ (call each one. it's easier that trying to use the site)They will be far cheaper that your local dealer. These sites are just Dodge dealers. You can try showing your dealer the price you can get it for and see what they can do.

Thanks for all your help. I called Daimler Chrysler yesterday, & within 2 hours they had one shipped from a different dealership. They will have on Mon., so we'll be back on the road. Thanks again.
