2001 1500 w/5.9 auto-trans.

I don't know much about auto-trans but, I do know when you put it in park your rig should stay put!!! Today stopped, put in part, let off of the break, and we started to roll. No clicking noise, just a silent roll. My only though was the linkage is out of adjustment. Any clues, where to start?

check the linkage under the truck for a bent piece, or perhaps a worn bushing.
Have you tried letting it roll while pushing up or moving the shifter in and out of park?
My dad's van used to do that after we had the tranny replaced and it actually rolled down a parking lot and out in the street, luckily no collision with anything besides the curb.
