About a year ago I did an overhead console CMTC retrofit in my 04 Quab Cab. The digital console came from an 04 Dakota and I bought an aftermarket wiring harness on eBay.
Everything works well with one minor irritation: the console trip odometer can be as much as 5 miles off in 150. For example, the trip odometer in the dash will read 149.3 but the overhead will read 144.9, etc. I think this might also be having an affect on the MPG display as well.
Can anyone with a factory installed console comment on whether theirs "loses" miles on the overhead odometer? Anyone else have any suggestions as to what might be wrong?
