I have a 94 grand caravan sport. With no previous problems the van started overcharging. Dash meter pegs at 18 and the battery is at 18.45 while the van is running. I've changed the alternater and bench tested it twice. Battery is also new. Is the voltage regulator inside the alternator and/or does the computer control the voltage. Please help.

Voltage should be controlled by the regulator inside the alternator. It could be a bad regulator, or a problem in the wiring.
