My oil filter is stuck so bad that when I tried to get it off with the oil filter clamp, it just destroyed it and shot oil every where. I tried to do it by hand, with a rag over it and with the clamp, it's on there.. and i want it off. what can i do?

poke a screwdrive thru it sideways, and use as a "cheater".

What I want to know is: who is the guy with the "gorilla arm" who torques oil filters down like main bearing caps in the first place?

Oh, wait: sometimes that guy is me!

I've decided that's my answer for everything now ... Cutting torch.

screwdriver gets it every time. messy but works!

If you drive a screwdriver through it, make sure you go through the middle and in far enough that the handle is touching the filter. That way, when you pull on it, you spin the filter instead of tearing through it. I have done this 6 or 7 times and it breaks the filter loose. Just make sure you drive the screwdriver in at the correct angle so you can pull on it.
