I have had to wait upwards of 2 weeks for an appointment. My dealer is legitemately VERY BUSY! They do their best to make an appointment for me within a few days but sometimes they are just booked solid. You have to understand that.

As to going to a Jiffy Lube because the dealer screws you. Well, be very careful of places like that. They are famous for lousy work and always putting the wrong fluids in. You have to watch them like a hawk and be SURE they use the right stuff. Oil, tranny fluid, Anti Freeze, etc... they always screw it up.

Excuse me?

As far as wrong fluids...Ive never had a problem. Besides, if anyplace ever did anything like that you just slam a lawsuit on them...lol
If you have never had a problem with a speedy/jiffy lube type place you are very lucky. The horror stories of things they do will curl your hair. Never mind the common place wrong fluids used or stupid things like being sure the old oil filter seal came off with the filter. I mean some MAJOR screw ups. Try tranny fluid instead of oil or using a torch to free up a seized oil filter which cracked the block, not telling the customer about it, who then drives on down the road spewing oil and coolant, and blows the engine as an example.

Those places are FAMOUS for always putting the wrong stuff in as the big thing( like ATF +3 when you need ATF +4 ). I have a friend who used to manage a Jiffy Lube and he was always complaining that the help he could afford to hire( he was given a set pay scale he couldn't deviate from )was awful. He constantly had to keep an eye on the guys to make sure it was done right and with the right stuff. He just couldn't pay enough to hire competant mechanics.

Yeah, eventually you would recoup your losses if they did something that caused major damage. Do you want to go through that though? I am not saying don't ever go to those places I am merely suggesting you pay attention to them because they routinely SCREW UP! In the end, even if you get reimbursed for the damage, it is a PITA for you.
